The Ash & Bloom Relics
High in the volcanic crags of the Obsidian Peaks stands the remnants of the Emberlit Conservatory, a sanctuary where pyromancers and floral herbalists once worked in harmony to cultivate rare elemental flora.
During the Siege of the Ashfall, a dragon’s breath reduced the sanctuary’s famous greenhouse of Obsidian Roses—blooms that thrived only in volcanic soil—to burning embers. Refusing to let the legacy of her coven be erased, the Lead Floramancer, Vespera, cast a forbidden stasis spell at the instant of destruction. She trapped the swirling cloud of white ash, deep black carbonized soil, and vivid magenta embers inside solidified planar resin.
The resulting stones captured the exact moment life met destruction. Deep black bases settle like coal at the bottom of each die, rising into churning clouds of ghostly white ash and vibrant pink fire. Inscribed upon the faces are numbers finished in metallic rose-gold foil, reflecting the dying embers of the lost garden.
Known across the realms as the Ash & Bloom Relics, these dice carry the duality of rebirth and ruin, prized by Blood Hunters, Necromancers, and Oath of Rebirth Paladins alike.
- The D4 (The Cinder Spike): Embodies the sharp ignition of a spell forged in fire and sorrow.
- The D6 (The Hearthstone): Anchors the bearer's soul against flame, necrotic decay, and psychic corruption.
- The D8 & D10s (Petals of Ash): Channel the lingering warmth of the fallen sanctuary to heal allies or scorch foes.
- The D12 (The Ember Crown): Resonates with the strength of nature enduring despite complete devastation.
- The D20 (The Phoenix Core): Swirls with the full chaos of ash and bloom; when rolled at a crucial moment, it dictates whether a strike results in total destruction or miraculous survival.
Would you like mechanical lore traits or a campaign quest hook based around retrieving these dice from the ruins?
