The Depths of the Abyssal Trench
In the lightless depths of the Midnight Trench, miles beneath the surface of the Sapphire Sea, lies the sunken sanctum of High Navigator Cassian. Cassian was an aquatic elf arcanist who spent his life mapping the treacherous currents where the Plane of Water bleeds into the dark, crushing pressures of the Astral Sea.
To guide sailors safely through phantom whirlpools and abyss-born leviathans, Cassian sought to crystallize the essence of the ocean’s most tempestuous depths.
The Binding of the Deep
- The Oceanic Maelstrom: Cassian drew upon the rich, sapphire-blue waters of the open ocean, swirling them with ghostly white sea-foam and anchoring the storm over a base of ink-black oceanic sludge.
- The Metallic Glyphs: To seal the wild tides within geometric stability, he etched each face with shimmering rose-gold copper numerals—reminiscent of the ancient brass navigational instruments used aboard legendary ghost ships.
- The Shattered Observatory: When a kraken dragged Cassian's underwater observatory into the trench floor, the pressure fused his spellcasting foci into seven sharp-edged polyhedral stones, preserving the ocean's churning spirit forever.
Legend & Attributes
Known among mariners, coastal mages, and planar explorers as the Tide-Caller's Relics, these sharp-edged dice radiate a mysterious, watery weight:
"Look into their crystal faces, and you will see churning sapphire currents and sea-foam plumes swirling over the ink-black abyss, etched in gleaming rose-copper."
- Visage: Swirling deep sapphire blue and misty white foam resting above pitch-black obsidian-colored bases within hyper-clear resin.
- Inscriptions: Radiant metallic copper-pink numbers that gleam like burnished sea-bronze under the waves.
- Power: Favored by Fathomless Warlocks, Coastal Druids, Tempest Clerics, and Swashbuckler Rogues, these dice are said to grant uncanny luck when navigating stormy waters, controlling currents, or summoning elemental waves.
