The Heart of the Phoenix’s Pyre
High upon the jagged, snow-dusted peaks of the Screaming Crags, the ancient sun-bird Sol'Kael reached the end of his millennium-long life cycle. As legendary creatures of rebirth do, Sol'Kael ignited his own plumage, transforming his nest into a blinding crucible of holy flame, crimson ash, and golden light.
An observant High Cleric named Mirela of the Dawn, who had spent decades waiting for this sacred event, stood at the edge of the pyre to capture a fraction of this holy rebirth.
The Ritual of Renewal
- The Sacred Ashes: As the brilliant golden core of the flame collapsed into soft, white-hot ash and deep crimson ember-resin, Mirela channeled divine magic to crystallize seven fragments of the pyre.
- The Living Core: Suspended within each clear, sharp-edged facet are wisps of cloudy white ash dancing over warm, honeyed-gold light and rich crimson blood-hues.
- The Crimson Seals: To bind the celestial radiance and keep the heat of rebirth from shattering the crystal, Mirela inked each etched rune in the metallic, shimmering red of the Phoenix's true crest.
Legend & Attributes
Known among holy orders and celestial scholars as the Ashen Rebirth Dice, these sharp-edged relics carry the essence of life rising from decay:
"In the depths of dark resin, the white smoke of holy pyres endlessly swirls around a warm, molten core—a reminder that from the deepest ash, new legends always rise."
- Visage: Clouded white "smoke" effect curling through amber-gold centers, framed by deep crimson-tinged clear crystal.
- Inscriptions: Vibrant crimson-pink metallic numbers that glimmer when exposed to sunlight or radiant spellcasting.
- Power: Clerics and Paladins believe these dice favor those fighting against impossible odds, granting a surge of fiery resilience right when defeat seems certain.
