The Shards of the Pixie Orchard
Deep in the Feywild, there is a hidden valley known as the Pixie Orchard. In this valley grows a single, massive raspberry bush that is fed by a river of liquid starlight. Instead of growing normal fruit, the bush grows magical berries that are as hard as gemstones. These crystalline berries glow with a warm pink light and trap the smoky twilight air of the fairy realm inside them.
A clever gnome wizard was traveling through the Feywild when he saved the orchard from a hungry swarm of shadow locusts. To say thank you, the Pixie King plucked seven of the finest crystalline berries from the highest branch. The gnome used a special ink made from crushed midnight-orchid petals to engrave the numbers, creating the beautiful, fruity look you see.
If your character carries this set into your next campaign, they bring the lively, chaotic magic of the fey realm:
- The Trapped Spark: When you look closely at the dice, the tiny dark flecks make it look like the juice is still swirling. Players say these dice roll best when your character is casting magical enchantments, telling jokes, or trying to trick a monster.
- Fey Charm: Because these dice are connected to the sweet magic of the pixie orchard, rolling them for "Persuasion" or "Deception" checks gives your character a sudden burst of luck to talk your way out of any trouble.
- Quick Escape: Pixies love to move fast and pull pranks. When an enemy tries to grab your character, rolling these bright pink stones unlocks a sudden burst of speed, helping you dodge out of harm's way in a flash.
Are you ready to bring the bright, berry magic of the Pixie Orchard to your next D&D game?
