The Shards of the Slime-Core Grove
Deep within the Whispering Bayou, there is a hidden marsh ruled by a giant, ancient earth elemental named Mossbeard. In the center of this swamp is a magical pool where the water is thick and glows with a bright green light. Over hundreds of years, the magical ooze from the pool leaks into the tree roots and hardens into smooth, glassy green crystals packed with nature magic.
A sneaky wood elf ranger was exploring the bayou when she helped rescue Mossbeard's favorite pet frog from a giant swamp alligator. As a thank-you gift, the elemental reached deep into the marsh mud and pulled out seven chunks of the beautiful, hardened green crystal. The ranger used a burnt stick from her campfire to paint the numbers into the sides, creating the exact look you see.
If your character carries this set into your next campaign, they bring the wild, untamed power of nature:
- The Trapped Poison: When you look closely at the dice, the smoky dark swirls inside look like a magical potion spinning around. Players say these dice roll best when your character is trying to track monsters through dense woods or resist deadly poisons.
- Forest Camouflage: Because these dice grew in the thickest part of the marsh, rolling them for "Stealth" checks gives your character a sudden burst of luck, making you blend perfectly into the trees and bushes.
- The Vine Whip: These dice love action. When your character needs to jump across a dangerous river or climb up a slippery rock face, rolling these green stones unlocks the steady grip of the ancient swamp roots.
Are you ready to bring the wild, green magic of the Slime-Core Grove to your next D&D game?
